Few months passed since the last update but I finally made my appearance to write another lengthy blog post to cover up for last few months – last two content update to be more precise. I hope you all had a great time meanwhile.
As you know, my life got a bit busier in last year and when I have free time available I work on the game instead on blog posts although there is a lot to write about (development, progress, tutorials etc.) but I promise I will find more time for blog posts.
Content:Content Update 6, Content Update 7, MAC Build in progress
Hello again everyone after a long pause. I hope everyone is doing fine and your Halloween preparations are in progress, however you’re going to spend that tiny holiday.
I was working hard in my free time to produce a content update for the Courier of the Crypts containing 2 new maps but sadly I’ve only managed to release a small update with changed Cathedral map ending and Halloween themed main menu screen (and some fixes here and there). Last releases weren’t as polished as I wanted them to be so I’ve decide to slow down a bit and rather release better stuff than lots of poorly made content.
2 new maps are both almost finished so you can expect new content update soon. Now, if you don’t have anything do to on the Halloween, why not give a Courier of the Crypts a go? If you don’t own it, it’s 20% off on Steam;)
Development really took me away from regular blog posts so I took a moment to write an actual blog post, not just pasting patch notes. I’ll talk what I was working on recently and what is coming to the Courier of the Crypts.
Game developers are often victims to the huge number of scams which are always about getting free keys under the mask of media entity (Let’s players, reviewers, bloggers…). These keys are then sold on various pages like G2A or in my recent case, directly on Reddit. Continue reading →
There was no development blog post in a while now. That’s mostly because I’m updating the game constantly and you can see all the updates & changes through the updates. There will be a bigger pause until the next update so I’m going to talk more about the next map and achievements – both will see the light in the next content update :)
First content update is live on Steam! It’s a bit smaller than planned but there is still a big map full of enemies, puzzles and secrets to be found. Also, if you’re afraid of spiders you’ll find this update suitable for you because Aracnophobic filter is in the game now!
4 days passed since the game launched on Steam Early Access and I get lots of questions about sales, crashes and how was the launch in general and I’ll be answering these questions and sharing more of my thoughts about everything.
Because every game needs an irritating map in the sewers.
This one of the maps that will come with next content update on Steam Early Access. It will be irritating because we’re talking about sewers here. Don’t worry, you’ll have fun. It’s a map you’ll remember ;)
So, I’ve decided to write few lines how I feel about the tomorrow’s release of the Courier of the Crypts on Steam Early Access. I pretty much have mixed feelings and a lot of thoughts next to tired eyes and mind.
First of all, I don’t think I realize the big step I’m taking tomorrow with the game. After 4 years of the development of a single game this is huge and maybe part of me still don’t realize that. Tomorrow, in the time of writing, game will be out in the world available to every player and this is something I’m really nervous about.
If you want to read more about mixed feelings, thoughts and my situation, read on :)
There was no blog post in a while because I was working on numerous fixes (bugs, crashes) and polishing details for the game. I’ve decided to write a new blog post mainly because I need to supply some information about Early Access because everyone who pre-ordered the game are wondering WHEN is that time of release.
